KAROSHI sounds rarely, but a lot of Japanese work very long.
Long work cause not only KAROSHI but also another problem.
1. Declining birth rate
Too many Japanese not to have enough private time, so they can’t make up friends.
And they wouldn’t get married.
2. The difficulty of wife’s work
Even if they can get married, it is hard to be successful at both long work and childcare.
So they are blessed with children, one person in a couple have to quit at work and most married couples chose the duty of the wife/mother.
3. Shut-in
In such a situation, many people who prior to working can’t have hope for working.
Those kind of people became shut-in.
